OK - now the first thing you will need to do is clean up your frame graphic. I could have done it for you ... but if you're going to transform black and white pics, you'll need the practice :)
The first thing you will need to do is remove the white from your graphic - you could use a plugin such as 'remove white', but that kind of programme usually also removes grey areas, and we're going to use those areas. The simplest way I know to remove the white from your graphic is to make sure you have a blank background layer, and on your graphic layer, use your magic wand to select an area of white. Then go to selections > modify > select similar. You'll find that all the white areas are now active - go to edit > cut. Deselect. Using your eraser tool, clean up the grey areas on the outside of the frame and on the inside of the arch --- but don't be too perfect around the frame, those jaggy bits add to the effect.
Now to beautify your frame :) Open all the graphics in the attached zip file. Minimise the Goldglittile_2, beautifulstars bg tile and Goldembossed_9 (or add to your patterns and textures folder).
1. Select a grey area from your graphic, go to selections > modify > select similar.
2. Apply Deb'sSilver BladePro preset. Deselect.
3. Select a black area from your graphic, and again go to selections > modify > select similar.
4. Change your foreground pattern to the Goldembossed_9 tile, and flood fill the areas you just made active in the previous step. Keep selected.
5. Now add an inner bevel using the following settings
6. Deselect. Now go to your background layer, and flood fill with the Goldglittile_2 tile.
7. Back to your graphic layer, and using the magic wand, click the inside of the arch in your image (get both pieces)
8. Go back to your background layer and cut. Your arch should now be empty inside. Deselect.
9. Back to your graphic layer, and without activating any area of the graphic, add a drop shadow using the following settings (I turned the visibility of the background layer off so it was easier to see)
10. Merge visible, add another raster layer, and send it to the background.
11. Flood fill your background layer with the beautifulstars bg tile.
12. Go back to your graphic later, and click on the outer edge of the frame with your magic wand.
13. Go back to your background layer, go to selections > modify > expand X 1, then cut the selected area. Now the beautifulstars bg is only visible inside the arch of your frame.
14. Still on your background layer, add a layer, and open your tubed Angel_099. Using a scale of 75% and step 200, add your tube - because you've put it onto its own layer you can use the mover tool to place it exactly where it looks best to you.
15. You'll notice that your tube goes beyond your outer frame, so go to your graphic layer, and select the outer frame area again with the magic wand, then go back to your tube layer and cut ... the excess is now gone.
You could leave your image here and merge all, or add a new background layer, flood fill with the GoldEmbossed tile, then buttonise that layer.
