Spiky Halo Frame

Here's what we should end up making

For this tut you will need the following supplies:

This zip

Blade Pro or Super Blade Pro

Flaming Pear's Flood - download with Blade Pro

FM Tile Tools

20/20

Now, lets get started! And remember, save often!

1. Open your image, press shift D, then close your original image.

2. Shift D your image again, and save it as a background - we're going to use 20/20 on this to make a seamless tile for our border - you can do this now, or once you are ready to flood fill your border.

3. Go to effects>plugin filters>Flaming Pear and choose the flood plugin. Use the following settings on your image, press OK

4. With your background colour at white, add a symmetrical border of 3. Select border with your magic wand, then open Blade Pro and choose and apply your silver shimmer preset. Keep selected.

5. Add an inner bevel with the following settings

6. Go to selections > invert and add a cutout with the following settings

7. Add a new layer and repeat the cutout using -5 horizontal and vertical values

8. Change your background colour to black and add a symmetrical border of 30. Select the border with your magic wand. Now is when you need the tile made in 20/20 - select the tile you made as your foreground pattern and flood fill your border with it. Keep selected.

9. Go to effects > gaussian blur and apply these settings

10. Keep selected, go to effects > geometric effects > and apply the spiky halo setting using these settings

11. While still selected, go to effects > sharpen, and sharpen a total of 4 times.

12. Invert, go to effects > 3D effects >drop shadow and use the following settings

13. Repeat steps 4 to 6 and we're done!
