This is what we will be making

This tut was written using only the effects in PSP 8 - it will not work for earlier versions of PSP. However, you can just flood fill a frame using one of the backgrounds in the zip file to get a similar effect :)

The eBook of this tutorial and all the supplies you need are here

I've used a lot more screen shots for this tut - so be patient while the page loads!

PSP8 is a lot more unstable than previous versions - so saving often is highly recommended!!

Lets get started

1. Open your image. Add symmetrical white borders of 5. Click with magic wand and flood fill with your Gold37 pattern

2. Add the following inner bevel - do not deselect

3. Invert and add the following cutout. Do not deselect.

4. Invert again and apply the following drop shadow. Deselect.

4. Add another white symmetrical border, this time at 35. Click with magic wand and flood fill with your Gold 37 pattern - do not deselect!

5. Add a new raster layer. Go to effects>artistic effects>balls and bubbles and apply all settings as shown in the screen shots (there are 4 of them! And you need to change all 4 settings before you press OK) Do not deselect.

6.Add a drop shadow using the following settings - do not deselect.

7. Invert your selection, add a new raster layer and flood fill white. Using your layer palette, activate your ball layer and hit delete ... this will remove the drop shadow that ended up inside our frame :) Do not deselect.

8. Activate the white layer and delete it. We STILL haven't deselected :)

9. Activate your ball layer again and add an inner bevel using the following settings. DESELECT (at last LOL) and merge all.

10. Add a white symmetrical border of 5. Click with magic wand and flood fill with your Gold 37 pattern, add the same inner bevel we did before and we're all done!

I hope you enjoyed doing this tutorial as much as I enjoyed writing it
