This is what we will be making

This tutorial was done using nothing but PSP 8 ... don't ya just love the tuts that use just PSP :-)

The eBook of this tutorial and the supplies you will need are here

OK - lets get started!

1. Open your image. Press shift D to duplicate and close your original. Have your silver tile minimized on your desktop

2. Add a symmetrical border of 3 - I actually used red as the colour through this tut as I found that too often I selected more than I wanted :) Click your border with your magic wand and flood fill with your silver tile. Do not deselect

3. Invert your selection and apply my main pic cutout preset or use the following settings. Deselect

4. Add a symmetrical border of 24, click with your magic wand and flood fill with black. Do not deselect

5. Apply the following inner bevel. Deselect

6. Add a symmetrical border of 3, click with your magic wand, flood fill with silver. Deselect

7. Add a symmetrical border of 36, click with your magic wand, then apply the same inner bevel we used before. Deselect

8. Add a symmetrical border of 3, click with your magic wand, flood fill with silver. Deselect

9. Add a raster layer, select your text tool then check your text palette and make sure you have floating checked. Your silver pattern should be your background colour - null as your foreground. Click somewhere within your image and apply the corner ding you wish to use

10. I used B at around 100. Place your corner in the top left of your image, then apply my HiLite drop shadow preset or use the following settings. Deselect

11. Now apply a second drop shadow using my subtle preset or the following settings

12. Duplicate, mirror and flip a corner ding into each corner of your frame. Merge all and that's it!!

I hope you enjoyed doing this tutorial as much as I enjoyed writing it
