This is what we will be making
You will need the following to complete this tutorial
Filter Factory M - Radial Loom
FM Tile tools - Blend Emboss
An eBook of this tutorial and all other supplies are here
OK lets get started
1. Unzip your supplies, open your image, press shift D twice to duplicate twice - minimize one your copies and close your original. Resize your other copy around 50% then apply seamless tiling with default settings, then minimize. Open your mask and put in your mask folder, and open and minimize my gold tile
2. Bring up your other image copy, add a raster layer and flood fill with my gold tile. Apply the 21~T mask with the following settings
3. Merge mask group, then apply the following drop shadow, repeat with minus values
4. Sharpen, then apply FM Tile Tools (FMTT) - Blend emboss with default settings
5. Add a symmetrical border of 10 (any colour). Click with your magic wand, then flood fill with my gold tile, sharpen, apply FMTT Blend Emboss, then apply the following inner bevel - do not deselect
6. Invert your selection and apply the following cutout. Deselect
7. Add a symmetrical border of 40 (any colour), click with your magic wand, promote your background layer, and delete the colour in the border we just made - you should have the area still selected. Go to selections>promote selection to layer. Deselect
8. Go to your layer palette and move your blank layer under your image layer, and make sure the blank layer is your active layer (it may help to X out your image layer so you only see the layer we're working on)
9. Flood fill your blank layer with the seamless tile we made in step 1, add a raster layer and flood fill with my gold tile, now apply the 216~T mask with the same settings we used for the first mask. Merge visible
10. Open Filter Factory M - Radial Loom and apply the following settings (yours may not look the same as I have it installed into Filters Unlimited)
11. Apply FMTT - Blend Emboss and sharpen.
12. Turn the visibility of your top layer back on if you've turned it off, and make your top layer (image) the active layer. Apply the following drop shadow
14. Add a symmetrical border of 10, click with your magic wand, then flood fill with my gold tile, sharpen, apply FMTT Blend Emboss, then apply the same inner bevel we used in step 5 - do not deselect
15. Invert your selection and apply a cutout with the settings we used before, but change to 5's not minus 5's ;)
That's it - we're all done!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial ;)
