This is what we will be making

To complete this tutorial you'll need the following supplies

The mask, tile and image I used are here

(place the tile into your textures folder)

The eBook of this tutorial is here

No outside filters are required

** I used PSP9 for this tutorial, but I'm sure this can be done with any version **

OK - lets get started

2. Resize one of your duplicates to around 200 x 200 pixels, then apply seamless tiling using default properties.  Minimize this tile

3. Working on your other duplicate, add a symmetrical white border of 4, click your border with your magic wand to activate, then apply sculpture with the following settings. Do not deselect

4. Invert your selection and apply the following cutout. Deselect

5. Add a symmetrical border of 14, click with your magic wand then floodfill with the tile we made in step 2, apply gaussian blur with a radius of 5. Do not deselect

6. Go to effects>distortion effects>wave and apply the following settings (change the colour to one that matches your image if you are using a different graphic). Do not deselect

7. Go to adjust>sharpen>unsharp mask and apply the default settings. Do not deselect

8. Apply the following cutout. Deselect

9. Add a symmetrical border of 4, click with your magic wand and apply the same sculpture we used before

10. Add a symmetrical border of 34, click with your magic wand then flood fill with your background tile, apply the same gaussian blur we used before, then apply the following spikey halo settings (effects>distortion effects>spikey halo) - change the colour to match your graphic if you're using a different image. Do not deselect

11. Apply the same cutout we last used. Deselect

12. Add a raster layer, and flood fill white. Apply the mask I supplied (kwc_fluercorners7) using the following settings

13. Go to selections>from mask, then to your layer palette and merge your mask group. Do not deselect

14. Apply the same sculpture settings we have been using. Deselect

15. Add a drop shadow with the following settings - repeat with minus values

16. Add a symmetrical border of 4, click with your magic wand and floodfill white, then apply the same sculpture settings we have been using. Invert your selection and apply the same cutout we last used.  Deselect and we're all done!
